Mental Illness Awareness (MIA)

Mental Illness Awareness (MIA) seeks to put a face on mental illness through advocacy and education.

The MIA Task Force is dedicated to these Principles:
1_ To alleviate suffering of the mentally ill. Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Major Depression and other brain-based disorders that greatly impact upon an individual’s ability to respond to the demands of daily living and enter into meaningful relationships.

2. To bring public awareness to the stigma and on-going crisis.

3. To support advocacy and put a face on the mentally ill.
